The world seems to spinning faster than ever, doesn't it? Another semester came and went and I can hardly believe its summer (although this weather would have you thinking different). So to help capture the essence of life in motion comes this series from photographer Lee Strickland. Don't blink, or you'll miss it.

ok, ok, so maybe I didn't get any dirty looks, but I made it through another set finals and I am looking forword to another action packed summer! Tonight is the Substance banquet, tomorrow is Stephanie's birthday, and then last minute preparations before I leave to Mexico City in a week! Also some exciting things happening to blog which I'll let you know about as they develop...

So what am I wearing? Patchwork madras shirt from H&M, navy flat front chinos, and tan suede bucks from Calvin Klein.

Let Them Wear Louboutin!

From famous still life photographer Peter Lippman comes the Fall/Winter 09 Christian Louboutin ad campaign. Lippman transforms these decadent shoes into decadent art pieces using an 18th century stylization. 

Suckers for Sneakers

Recently I've been shopping around for sneakers for my Mexico City trip at the end of the month, as I don't think a pair of leather moccasins will translate very well with a full week of sight seeing. Jack Purcell sneakers have always been my favorite but the two pairs I have are pretty beat up. I was looking through their website and came across these guys. Jack Purcell LTT converse in seersucker. I kinda liked the idea at first but now I'm wondering if they maybe a bit too country club cool (in a bad way). So what do we think? Suckers for sneakers or sneakers for suckers?

MORE SUBSTANCE!

The day has come! The highly anticipated release of Substance magazine spring 09 is finally here (well, at least I was highly anticipating its release). Being on the magazine as fashion editor this semester was an amazing opportunity and I was lucky to work with so many creative people. Pictured above are the pieces I put together for this issue. If you're ever on campus make sure to pick up and read all 62 pages of pure glossy glory. 

Richard Avedon: Avedon Fashion

World renowned photographer Richard Avedon is responsible for some of the most iconic images in fashion photography, a homage to his work is paying payed at New York City's Center for Photography with an exhibition of nearly 175 photographs, titled "Avedon Fashion 1944-2000". The exhibition is running until September 6th. Another reason why I wish I lived in New York
