Some bloggin', haute new look ;)

I just died when I saw these striking images from Vouge Hommes International, Spring/Summer 09 issue. The editorial is called Super-Models and was shot by Hedi Slimane. Then again, I just love Hedi Slimane and his work. To think, I was in his presence on more than one occasion, and never got to formally meet him :/ ahh well, my day will come I suppose.
Stay super this summer with this remix on the classic wayfarer by SUPER eye-wear. In a variety of colors, starting at $118. Available at 80's Purple.
Last night was the Substance/ Mountaineer Spring 09 awards banquet. We ate food, dispersed awards, and announced the new editors for next fall. The first set of awards were for 'Best Blog', and I am very happy to say I took first place, along with Michael's Lifestyle: Food and Wine blog . I hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it :) and I am exciting to only continue to develop Haute Campus.

No more pencils

From famous still life photographer Peter Lippman comes the Fall/Winter 09 Christian Louboutin ad campaign. Lippman transforms these decadent shoes into decadent art pieces using an 18th century stylization.

The day has come! The highly anticipated release of Substance magazine spring 09 is finally here (well, at least I was highly anticipating its release). Being on the magazine as fashion editor this semester was an amazing opportunity and I was lucky to work with so many creative people. Pictured above are the pieces I put together for this issue. If you're ever on campus make sure to pick up and read all 62 pages of pure glossy glory.

World renowned photographer Richard Avedon is responsible for some of the most iconic images in fashion photography, a homage to his work is paying payed at New York City's Center for Photography with an exhibition of nearly 175 photographs, titled "Avedon Fashion 1944-2000". The exhibition is running until September 6th. Another reason why I wish I lived in New York

Is paisley making a come back? wether it officially is or not I could care less, but I am all about these paisley shorts from Jcrew. The first two pictured are the Club Short made from a exclusive mill in Italy which Jcrew claims "[is] known for making some of the worlds best prints and patterns". The last pair is a board short with a beautifully orchestrated color combination that can bring out the summer spirit in anyone. Perfect for mojitos by the pool.
